Flourish raises $500M to build brain-inspired AI

A five hundred million dollar seed looks absurd until you read the thesis: use connectomics, the wiring diagram of real brains, to attack AI's energy problem rather than its accuracy problem. With power now the binding constraint on scaling, bets on radically more efficient architectures are where some of the smartest money is going. Whether biology is the right shortcut is the open question.
